Our Executive Leadership Team

Doug Worple Founder & CEO

Doug is Barefoot Proximity's founder. He has over 20 years of CPG experience, beginning with roles on the client side at Procter & Gamble. Doug spent 5 years on P&G's Finance & Accounting development track before moving into Brand Management.

As Brand Manager of Crest Complete, Doug successfully launched the brand nationally and took advantage of a company program to spend a month as a copywriter at Leo Burnett. Shortly after Doug's return from Leo, he left P&G and launched Barefoot Proximity with a passion for copywriting and a heightened appreciation for great creative.

This appreciation for great creative has been fostered throughout the agency, where Doug continues to serve as the keeper of the creative flame. Doug has earned top honors at the National Addy Awards Show as well as in the Communication Arts Advertising Annual and Print Design Annual. Doug and Barefoot Proximity have been written up in The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, INC. Magazine, Advertising Age and Adweek.

Sean Brown EVP - Technology

Sean was a "pre-boom" Internet entrepreneur. Along with Chris Evans he co-founded Ethos Interactive in 1995. When it was sold to Eviciti (2000), Sean managed Eviciti's Detroit office as VP/General Manger. Sean most recently ran the Internet Services division at HSR Business to Business.

Sean is an accomplished application developer with experience in multiple platforms and brings a deep technical expertise to the table. At the same time, he possesses a fine strategic mind and an appreciation for great creative.

At Barefoot Proximity he leads the Digital Strategy group, the Application Development group and the Project Management group. He has served a wide range of clients including Mercedes-Benz, Kodak, Haworth, Procter & Gamble, Formica and MillerCoors.

Jodi Greene EVP - Creative

Jodi is charged with leading the creative team at Barefoot Proximity. She graduated as Valedictorian from the Cincinnati Academy of Design in 1993, and immediately joined Euro RSCG in Chicago. Jodi returned to Cincinnati in 1995 where she quickly found the ideal professional home at Barefoot Proximity. She is a nationally recognized creative whose work has appeared in the Print Design Annual and scored gold at the national ADDY show. Recently, Jodi was named one of Cincinnati's "Top 10 Women in Marketing and Advertising."

Throughout Jodi's nearly 13 years at Barefoot Proximity, she has led the creative charge on countless projects and campaigns for CPG brands. This work included the 1998 launch of the now iconic brand, Swiffer. Jodi was also instrumental in the redesign of the Home Made Simple website and newsletter when Barefoot Proximity was awarded that business in 2005. She has earned and commands the respect of the entire organization, and has a positive impact on the agency culture. Jodi's clients love her work and value her opinion, perspective and contribution.

Chris Evans EVP - Account

As a co-founder of Ethos Interactive (with Barefoot Proximity's Sean Brown), Chris was a pioneer in online marketing, being among the first to venture into CD-ROM- and Internet-delivered campaigns "way back" in the early and mid 90's. Their firm was purchased by interactive agency Eviciti, and Chris managed the Cincinnati office. In true dot-com style, that firm was bought yet again, this time by Haverstick, a leading interactive consultancy at that time. Prior to founding Ethos, Chris was a business analyst/consultant for Deloitte Consulting.

More recently, Chris was a senior client service executive at HSR Business to Business, widely considered among the best business-to-business agencies in the country. As one of Barefoot Proximity's leading account managers, he is especially gifted at helping clients formulate strategies and working harmoniously with creative teams to bring those strategies to life in unexpected, yet effective ways. Highly respected by his clients for his depth of knowledge and the insights he brings to the table, Chris is particularly good at identifying additional ways that the agency can leverage creativity to solve clients' problems.

Steve Kissing VP - Creative

Steve Kissing has spent nearly 20 years in the advertising agency business. His career began in public relations at which point he served such clients as IBM, Walt Disney and Xerox. Steve was an early adopter of interactive technologies within PR and contributed articles on the topic to several of the major industry trade publications.

Always intrigued by the creative side of the agency business, Steve rebooted his career about nine years ago, joining Barefoot Proximity as a copywriter. He quickly demonstrated his talent. So much so, in fact, that after three years at Barefoot Proximity, Steve returned to a former agency as an interactive ACD, and was later promoted to CD. He then returned to his true agency love, Barefoot Proximity, as a partner and interactive creative director.

In his spare time, Steve writes a humor column, "Odd Man Out," for Cincinnati Magazine, and has recently been recognized by several associations as the best columnist in Ohio. Always one who's up for interesting experiences, Steve wrote a childhood memoir that was well reviewed in the literary press, and he's recently published his poetry with a host of literary magazines.

Amanda Brown VP - Account

Amanda's expertise is in account management as well as communication strategy and planning. Her primary focus is in enabling CPG companies to build loyalty through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs involving multiple touch-points.

For over 10 years, Amanda has worked with such highly regarded companies as Procter & Gamble, ConAgra Foods, Hasbro and Perfetti Van Melle. During this time, she has led digital campaigns, in-store programs, TV campaigns, as well as direct-to-consumer and non-traditional programs. Currently, Amanda's oversees all strategy, marketing and content for Procter & Gamble's highly successful Home Made Simple CRM program.

In addition to her account management experience, Amanda also brings expertise in scale and multi-brand efforts where the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts.

When away from her desk, Amanda enjoys travel and day-trips with the family, ideally listening to classic rock and modern folk along the way. Once there, cozying up with a funny book makes her feel even more relaxed.

Fran Dicari VP - Account

Fran came to Barefoot from the Waylon Company, a full-service marketing and promotion agency, where he directed the company's Cincinnati division. Fran, like agency founder Doug Worple, is a P&G alumnus, having served in brand management for Vidal Sassoon.

Here at Barefoot Proximity, Fran leads the charge on brands such as Febreze, Dawn and Swiffer. He's a nimble strategist and a champion for great creative.

Fran earned his MBA from Columbia University, and he earned his BS-ME from Villanova University.

Outside of work and family, Fran's biggest passion is baseball. He believes the timeless game is a great way to share the past while enjoyiing the present. In fact, Fran's been to most of the major league parks around the country. And even to the World Series. Five times.

Troy Hitch VP - Creative

Troy leads the branded entertainment practice for Barefoot Proximity and works with clients to develop content experiences that drive deeper connections with their consumers. With a diverse background in theatre, music, illustration, writing and filmmaking, Troy is able to direct highly effective and entertaining creative solutions.

Prior to joining Barefoot Proximity, Troy founded Big Fat Brain, an internationally-acclaimed new media studio, where he created the runaway web hit "You Suck At Photoshop" which garnered three Webby Awards and was named one of Time Magazine's Top 10 TV Episodes of 2008. Troy has also created award-winning content for clients such as Adobe, Autodesk and SoftwareAG as well as original series for Discovery Networks' Planet Green and Sundance Channel.

Troy is a passionate advocate for the innovation of storytelling in digital media and he has been a featured speaker at many industry conferences including Macworld, The New York Television Festival and ROFLcon. His work has been recognized by The Washington Post, The LA Times, Advertising Age, Wired and NPR and has won numerous awards including Streamys, Stevies and a national Addy.
